Let me preface this with as a Military family we hit the road early and get home late so some things on this list are a "healthy on the go" choice with my blood sugar being kept in mind. I would however recommend anything on this list to anyone (and do, to my family and friends on a regular basis. That is why they were left on the list :) ) I have certain staples in my cabinets at all times like most people. I also have certain preferences pertaining to what I allow in my house for my child's sake, what I keep in the house for my Hubby's, and what I try to keep for my own health requirements. The Grocery List posted is an 'edited" version of what I actually use on a weekly basis. I changed it only to eliminate our personal preferences in certain areas because everyone prefers their own brand of shampoo and deodorant :) The following is a list of my Cooking staples. Any recipe found here will most likely use some if not all of these:
- Salt / Pepper
- Garlic Powder
- Onion Powder
- Adobe
- Creole Seasoning
- Italian Seasoning
- Whole Garlic (Minced Garlic in the fridge as well)
- Brown Sugar
- White Sugar
- Whole Wheat Unbleached Flour
- Pam Spray (for baking)
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Butter
That said here's the Grocery List! I would suggest saving it to your desktop, customizing it to fit your family, and having it print ready every week. As well, if you are a nerd like me you can change the font color every paycheck trip to keep track of which list is for which paycheck and it makes them cute to boot. :)
